The colour wheel game that turns your living room into a treasure hunt

What is ChromaHunt?

ChromaHunt is a party game built to be played together, in person, passing the same phone around. There's no board, no cards, nothing to buy or print — just your phone's browser and whatever four walls you're standing in.

Each player spins a colour wheel — anywhere from the six basics up to fourteen on hard mode, gold and silver metallics included — and lands on a colour at random. From there the mission is simple to explain and surprisingly hard to pull off: find objects in that colour around the house and photograph them to fill a 3×3 collage.

The game rewards a fast eye and a trained memory: that vase you haven't noticed in six months suddenly becomes the missing piece. At the end, everyone votes on each other's collages, and there's a podium — photo finish included if two players tie.

Everything happens on the device itself: no accounts, no servers, no connection required. One shared phone is enough for the whole game, and the photos never leave it unless you download or share them yourself.

Pick your difficulty

Start with the six easy colours — red, blue, yellow, green, white and black, the ones in any living room — and work up to ten, or all fourteen on hard mode, with turquoise, lime, and metallic gold and silver. Prefer your own rules? Custom mode lets you choose exactly which colours are on the wheel, and even add your own with a colour picker.

For birthdays, or just any afternoon

It works with two players or ten, lasts as long as you want — a quick five-minute round or a whole afternoon of rematches — and needs no minimum age or prior experience. It's as good for livening up a birthday party as for killing a lazy Sunday with the family.

How it works, in 3 steps

1. 1. Spin the wheel

   Players take turns spinning. Each colour's weight halves for every player who already has it, so as fewer colours stay free, landing a new one gets easier — nobody gets stuck without a turn.

2. 2. Hunt and shoot

   With your colour assigned, go hunt for it around the house: kitchen items, clothes, plants, anything goes. Each photo fills one collage slot — 4 or 9 of them, square or story format, you choose how hard the challenge gets.

3. 3. Vote and hit the podium

   Once everyone's done, the gallery gathers every collage and each player rates the others with a face, from rough to amazing. The result: a podium with real height differences and the group photo of a challenge well hunted.
